Marbella in Manhattan!

Marbella Mayor Takes Manhattan

Marbella Mayor, Angeles Muñoz and and Councillor of Tourism, Jose Luis Hernandez were in New York last month and took the opportunity to visit the NASDAQ MarketSite in New York City's Times Square to discuss tourism and business opportunities in Marbella. Muñoz , met with potential investors, media and representatives of the tourism sector promoting Golden Mile tourism and the opportunities for investment in Marbella opened up by the PGOU (urban development plan).
‘The time has come to commit ourselves to the external promotion of Marbella as an internationally recognised town that has always attracted foreign investment’ she said.To mark the occasion, Mayor Munoz presided over the NASDAQ Closing Bell!
Marbella residents, however, may have felt that the money would be better spent on filling the potholes in the road, now that the rain has stopped!

Singin' in the Rain!

It may have been the wettest weekend in Puerto Banus for years, but that didn’t dampen the spirits of guests at official opening of Charley’s on March 5.
The stylish and intimate new live music venue was packed and the crowd enjoyed performances from some of the best known performers on the coast.
Managed by Charley Carrigan Caradas, who has quickly become one of the best known personalities in the Port, Charley’s offers a little slice of lounge style away from the sometimes frenetic energy of the jet set marina, and allows guests to relax with a cold drink and some cooler sounds. And with a packed programme of bands booked for the summer, Charley’s will be the place to be this summer!

Cagemania Cancelled

Marbella is not exactly unknown when it comes to liking a good punch up, so we were looking forward to the forthcoming Cagemania, "Carnage on the Costa" ultimate fighting event due to be held at the Hotel Incosol on March 20. However, we heard from the promoters that due to circumstances beyond their control, they've had to cancel the event.

Shame, but if you're in need of a good punch up, we can always recommend some alternative venues!
